About Us
Metallic Protectives Limited was established in the early 1950's by the
Lenton family as a dedicated hard chrome electroplater offering a subcontract
service to the engineering industry, particularly the printing and textile
sector.
Initially located in Coventry, Metallic Protectives moved to a purpose
built factory in Warwick and continued to grow. The subcontract service
was extended to include stove enamelling. Metallic Protectives was one
of the first companies to offer a sub contract powder coating service
for the architectural industry.
Metallic Protectives was acquired by the PMD Group in 1984. One result
of this acquisition was the separation of the hard chrome electroplating
and organic finishing activities into separate companies. Metallic Protectives
Plating Limited became the name for the subcontract hard chrome plating,
grinding and vaquablasting operation. The subcontract powder coating and
wet spray painting activity remained in Metallic Protectives Limited.
Metallic Protectives Plating consistently keeps pace with the latest
technology in chemical engineering development enabling us to be in the
forefront in hard chromium engineering for all sectors of manufacturing
industry.
2002 saw Metallic Protectives Plating invest in equipment and technology
to electropolish stainless steel for medical, automotive, food and safety
engineering industries.
Metallic Protectives Plating moved to Broad Lane in Coventry during 2005
to a unit adjacent to the Plating division of PMD(UK)Ltd. |
